The Developmental Studies Hybridoma Bank, created by NIH as a national resource, has been selling hybridomas and/or the monoclonal antibodies they produce for 21 years. We sell at cost (e.g., 1 ml of supernatant containing monoclonal antibody costs $25, not $200 or more). The DSHB is growing at 10% to 20% per year and has recently been awarded distribution rights of the thousands of hybridomas now being produced by the NCI in their new initiative to develop diagnostics for the major cancers.
